Tartan, Frills & Polka Dot Mesh!!!

The cold has definitely hit this week and I’m wearing a lot more clothes from the A/W colour palette. I’m still trying to encorporate some colour and have been wearing a lot of red, but another colour I’m loving this season is yellow/mustard. I got these fab mustard, white and Black tartan check trousers in the sale for a 10er on Pretty Little thing. They're a cropped style with a cute frill to the bottom, they’re in a stretchy thick jersey so super comfy and they’re high waisted which I much prefer in bottoms. I wore fishnet tights underneath, I know they’re full of holes but they’re still an extra layer and it’s rare I’m not wearing fishnets with an outfit.

I went for more frills with a black mesh polka dot top with frill detail to the sleeves and chest with a lace bralet underneath. For my shoes I did a bit of print clashing with some oriental black and gold chunky heels, although the print is clashing the colours match perfectly and I think they work really well together and dress the outfit up. For accessories I went for a fave of mine at the min, tassel earrings, this pair are black with white and gold bead detail. Finishing off with a studded black choker and a gold chain choker.

What I’m wearing.... Zebra Print & Red vinyl

So one of this seasons big trends is vinyl and it’s absolutely everywhere, I’ve already got a few pieces of the high shine pvc and have got my eye on more. I’ve actually brought a pair of black vinyl trousers that I pretty much had the same pair as when I was a kid in the 90s. Red is another biggie for this season and is everywhere on the highstreet, it’s not really a colour I’ve worn much before but again I’ve found I’ve brought quite a few red pieces already this season. For today’s post I’m combining both of these trends in one piece and what a piece it is, this amazing red vinyl skirt, and the best part is it was only £8! Yes I couldn’t believe it either Primark have really pulled it out the bag with this one and I was so happy when a few weeks later I saw it in black, so I grabbed myself that one too!

I love a print and red goes really well with black and white so I teamed it with this fab zebra print oversized shirt with ruffle detail. I had my eye on it on the H&M website for a while then it went into the sale but they didn’t have my size, then by chance a few weeks later they had my size so I snapped it up. I’m a big fan of a printed shirt and live in them over autumn/winter, I much prefer layering up with shirts and coats rather than knitwear. I think the zebra print works so well with the red, I’ve been very tempted to get some red vinyl trousers and I think it would also look great with them so I may have to treat myself. I went for fishnet tights an absolute must have for me, I live in them, they’re a bloody buggar as I’m constantly buying them as they rip so easily, but they always complete an outfit for me! I added some more pvc to the mix with these pvc ankle boots I got last year, they’ve still got lots of life in them so great to wear again this year. I went for a chunky gold necklace and creole style earrings, finishing off with my black feather bag, a fave of mine I’ve had for years, and of course some red lippy!!

Pink frills, 80’s vibes & Rainbows!!!

So recently I discovered the website I Saw It First where I got a few bargains in the sale at only £5 each. Today’s outfit features one of those bargain pieces. This fab hot pink bandeau jumpsuit with frill detail to the waist and hem of the trousers. I wasn’t sure what to expect for the price and when it came it was a different material to what I was expecting as it’s more of a stretchy jersey, but for the price I couldn’t really moan and thought it was worth keeping. I decided to add another splash of colour and cover my top half a little with this lime green vintage 80s power jacket that I think works so well against the pink. I went for rainbow accessories to follow on with the bright colours, starting with my fave glitter earrings, sequin bag and the best rainbow wedges that I have not worn half as much as I should have! I finished off the look with a pink glittery netted choker. This is a great day to night outfit as it’s pretty dressy but not too ott, and I can easily whip off my jacket and make it a little dressier. I’m still trying to add as much colour to my autumn outfits as I can and to not have to wear a proper coat, I’m really not a fan of these chilly months and darker nights!!
