Poppin Print & Pink Pleats!!!

So I'm basically dressing for summer rain or shine now and the bright colours are well and truly back! I love wearing bright colours all year round but it's so much easier and more acceptable in the summer months. I'm still rolling out items from my vintage weigh and pay kilo sale haul into my posts, today's features one of those items. This absolutely amazing shirt, the colours are so vivid and bright and the print is so fun. It is slightly cropped with a tie waist, I buttoned it up to the top but it would also great undone with a bandaue or vest underneath. I picked out the pink in the shirt and teamed it with a pleated pink skirt. I went for some bright blue fishnet socks and turquoise flatform sandals, with a vintage leather belt with heart detail to the waist. As the outfits very bright and colourful I went for a fun pineapple necklace to add to the summer vibe. Finishing off with my fave rocket bag from skinnydip and my rainbow mirrored sunnies. I am super excited for the next couple of weeks, I am going to see Kasabian this bank holiday weekend and then off to Rock am Ring next week for my birthday, I really hope the weather holds out for both!!!

Crushed velvet & Crochet!!!

I'd like to say summer is officially here but we are in England so I'm sure we'll be back to rain in no time. But my summer wardrobe is definitely out, I have been caught in the rain a few times in my sandals but I'm refusing to dress in my winter wardrobe! I got these flares from asos in the sale for £9 a few weeks ago, they're by the brand 'Band of Gypsies' and are in a textured crushed velvet. They do come up really big though, but they sold out so I couldn't change for a smaller size. They do have an elasticated waist so they do stay on, I could've just done with them being a bit tighter.

I teamed them with this amazing crochet top from H&M I've had my eye on, I was waiting to see if my local store had it in as I didn't want to pay postage for just that, but they haven't had it and they had 20% off tops online last week which made it acceptable to order. I love anything crochet especially in summer and the bright colours are gorgeous. I wore a metal belt to add to the boho vibe and to also keep my trousers on a bit better! I threw on one of my fave kimonos and got my rainbow platform sandals back out of hiding. As the neck is high on the top I just went for some plain hoop earrings for Jewellery and finished off with my tassel detail bag from Primark.

I was messing about with my hair on this day and managed to do a pretty ok plait to say I'm rubbish with hairstyles, I put a few hair rings in the plaits to jazz it up a bit. I got these ones from primark for a bargain price of £2 and there are 6 assorted rings in the pack. I have no idea how else to wear them other than in a plait as they wont stay in, but I think they're really nice and great for festivals for a boho vibe. I'm officially on countdown for my first full festival of the year in a couple of weeks for my Birthday. We're going to Rock Am Ring in Germany and I'm so excited to try somewhere new and get the glitter and rainbow clothing out!!!

Green pleats, Blue Print & Gold chains!!!

After the lovely weekend we've just had I think we can officially say summer is on it's way!! Yes we are back to some rain today but hopefully the sunny days will become more regular. I spent the weekend in London and the weather was glorious, I didn't want to come back :-(

So for today's post I'm going all vintage (well mostly) if you've read my previous posts you'll of seen I've been to a couple of vintage kilo sales recently. This outfit has two pieces I got from those sales. The first being this fabulous green pleated skirt I got from the Blue rinse kilo sale in Manchester, I adore the colour green and love this bright shade. It actually fits me perfectly aswell. I teamed it with this amazing bright blue/green baroque/chain print shirt that I got from the weigh & pay kilo sale in Derby. Again I love the colours and it matches perfectly with the skirt. Keeping with the chain theme I went for gold accessories with a gold coin head chain, gold initial necklace, chain detail belt and my fab vintage bag. I finished off the look with some black patent ankle boots and blue lips, I have to be coordinated afterall! Sorry about the awful background/quality of these pictures, but the sun does have its drawbacks whilst trying to take pictures and it was too sunny and shadowy in the place I usually take pictures!
