Vintage vibes: Leather, Lace & Florals!!!

So I said in my last post I've been rubbish with my blog posts lately and I have continued to be rubbish, sorry!! Finding the time to take pictures and having any sort of decent weather to take them in is a continuous mission, where the hell is our summer at!! I haven't been able to wear hardly any of my summer wardrobe so far, so this outfit post is a mix of summer with a bit of Autumn thrown in with vintage vibes from both vintage pieces. I got these amazing vintage real leather trousers at the blue rinse kilo sale in Manchester and they are literally one of my best buys ever. As you pay by the kilo you get so much more for your money so these worked out an absolute bargain. They are so 80s, I love the high waist and tapered legs and they fit me like a glove. The wrap over detail to the waist is so cool and is finished off beautifully with beaded and sequin detail. I teamed it with a vintage floral cami with lace detail that I got from cow. I added some coral wedges to bring out the colours in the cami and a black fringe bag. I kept accessories simple as the lace of the cami already has a lot of detail, so just wore a Daisy choker and a couple of delicate necklaces. I am so hoping summer decides to show it's face soon as it's been so miserable and bipolar recently with constant rainy showers popping up when they are certainly not welcome. I booked Y not festival tickets today to take my daughter to her first festival which I am so excited about, so I am praying July brings us lots of sun!!!

What I'm wearing.... Print, Patent & Leather!!!

I've been so rubbish at blog posts lately but after the most disastrous few days in Germany for Rock am Ring, it's took me a couple of weeks to get over it and get back on track. So here's a quick post, sorry the photos are a bit rubbish and the backgrounds not so great but I was having trouble with shadows in my garden again, so they had to do for now! I picked up this fab Loving youth printed dress from the Blue rinse kilo sale in Manchester a couple of months back, as it was so light it barely cost anything so it was even more of a bargain. I also got this Loving youth patchwork leather waistcoat, which I am so in love with. I had been after one for a while so was so happy to find one at the kilo sale as it worked out alot cheaper than it maybe would've, it's also quite a thin lightweight leather which kept the weight/cost down. Teamed with the dress I think it makes a great outfit with witchy festival vibes. Unfortunately we have had the worst summer so far, so I have been having to wear some less summery outfits :-( and deciding what shoes to wear in a morning is a nightmare! I went for my black patent boots, I know quite a wintery choice, but nobody likes soggy feet halfway through the day when it decides to throw it down. I wore black fishnets, my black fedora and a suede teardrop bag. I accessorised with some fab tassel detail earrings, adding to the festival vibe and a tattoo choker and mood stone necklace.

The perfect printed trousers!!!

I have literally been after these trousers from work from the v&a collection since last summer and as we never got them in my store I never got round to actually getting them. As it got more towards Autumn I didn't think I needed them and as they never went in the sale I thought I would leave it. We had one pair in the stockroom that were returned but were a size too big and I thought unless they went really cheap I couldn't justify it as I'd have to alter them. To my luck a few weeks ago we got extra discount so I bought a few things for summer that were super cheap including the trousers as i ended up getting them for a 5er!!! Then by some miracle somebody returned my size the following week, as I was yet to wear them I exchanged for the correct size, winner!!! They are in a satiny material and the print is so beautiful. I do have the top in the same print but it is a different material and slightly different shade of lilac so I wasn't sure if it matched to wear as a set. So I decided to team it with a vintage lace/silk cami and picked out the blue in the print and wore a vintage blue chiffon/lace cover up. I carried on with the girly/vintage vibe with my amazing red or dead Daisy platforms, I picked out the green leaves in the print and added a lime green clutch for an extra splash of colour. Finished off with a flower detail headchain and Limecrime lipstick in chinchilla with is the perfect lilacy/grey to match!
