What I'm wearing.... Mesh, Leather & Grunge Florals!!!

For today's look I've put a grunge twist on a girly bomber jacket. I got this floral bomber from work and love the print, as it is darker colours it's great for the autumn/winter but would also see you through to the warmer months. The colour palette also makes it slightly less girly for a floral print, I like to be girly sometimes but I also like a grungey look at times, so I decided to go for that kind of vibe with this look. I wore a pu leather pinafore with full zip detail to the front. I got it in primark a while ago but did actually get it in a burgundy and green colour the other day for a 5er in the sale so go check out your local primark if you like this style of dress, they did still have black too. It's so easy to wear and I like the loose shape, I teamed it with a black mesh top underneath and my cherry red Bethans, with some fringe detail socks. I went for a choker and mood stone necklace to accessorise and a bow detail scrunchie in my hair. Finishing off the look I went for some hoop earrings and my chain detail backpack. Some people are afraid of florals and can find them too girly but it goes to show it's so easy to make them a little more edgy, especially with a darker print!

Vintage Brights & Block Colours!!!

So it's almost Christmas and god knows where the year has gone, it only seems 5 minutes ago I was frolicking around fields at festivals in the summer. I am trying to be a little more prepared and tried to start my shopping earlier than usual, but all I seem to have managed is to buy gifts for myself, oops!! Anyway it may be nearly Christmas but I still love wearing bright colours, they're not just for summer as far as I'm concerned. So this bright block colour outfit brings a splash of colour into a dark and gloomy time of year. I picked up this 80s geometric shirt at the vintage weigh and pay kilo sale, I saw it on one of the mannequins and had to have it, I love the colours and print. I teamed it with these bright purple high waisted shorts and a black chain Detail belt. It is very cold now so I had to wear some black tights but I still went for some sandals with these amazing pink crossover shoes I got in the Topshop sale. I finished off the look with my fave vintage bag, an 'A' initial choker and some cute Pompom hair bobbles.

The Ultimate Sassy Shirt.... Kenzo X H&M

Earlier this month Kenzo finally released their long awaited collaboration with H&M. There were so many fab pieces and for a taste of a designer piece the items were reasonably priced but they were still a little out of my price range. So I didn't race online the moment they went on sale as I didn't want the temptation of having items in my basket that I couldn't afford. I did however go online a couple of hours after the rush and there were still a few pieces available. I had already had my eye on the green tiger print silk shirt, so when it was still in stock the temptation got the better of me. I managed to get a code for 25% off and free delivery which brought the price down quite a bit, so I felt it was a bargain for such an exclusive piece and something I definitely needed! It arrived in kenzo striped paper with a tiger sticker which I thought was a really nice touch.

The shirt itself is absolutely gorgeous, it's pure silk with a bright green tiger stripe all over. It has double ruffle collar detail with the most amazing beadwork, it has black tigers on either side all in tiny beads and the buttons all have kenzo written on them. I have to be careful what shade of greens I can wear due to my hair being green, but this shade matches perfectly! I teamed it with some vintage leather trousers serving up 80s realness with the high waisted style and bead detail. I finished the look with my fave vintage bag and some lace up sandals, I let the shirt do all the talking so didn't wear any jewellery which is a rarity for me, but I think this shirt is sassy enough on its own!
